OLYMPIC COMMITTEE OF GERMANY PROMISED TO HELP IN A WAY MONTENEGRIN SIDE WISHES SO. CONTINUATION OF DECADE OF COOPERATION BETWEEN MONTENEGRIN AN GERMAN OLYMPIC COMMITTEES.
Simonović talked to Bach
President of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee Dušan Simonović, met on 22. January in Berlin dr Thomas Bach, President of the Olympic Committee of Germany and Vice-president of the International Olympic Committee.
„The word is about continuation of ten years long successful cooperation with German county Hessen, which started through acitivies of Montenegrin Karatist“, says the President of the MOC for our paper, expressing great satisfaction for this cooperation is developing on higher levels.
Olympic Committee of Germany has offered help to the MOC. Simonović says that Montenegrin requests will most probably be pointed towards support for setting up sport infrasatructure in Montenegro. It was agreed that those details will be precised during the Olympic Games in Beijing.
„I am impressed by the way Germany stimulates development of sport in its country“, added President of the MOC.
Simonović attended ceremony in Berlin on which German chancellor Angela Merker awarded special high state recognitions to meritorious athletes and sport workers.
Besides Simonović, Montenegrin politic-sport delegation composed of the Vice-president of the Montenegrin Assembly, Slavoljub Stijepović, Chief of Parliament member’s Club of the DPS of the Montenegrin Assembly, Miodrag Vuković, Assistant Minister for sport in the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Media, Dragan Drobnjak, and Sport Director of the Karate Club „Budućnost“ from Podgorica, Rajko Vujošević, is staying in Berlin.
