EXECUTIVE BOARD OF THE MONTENEGRIN OLYMPIC COMMITTEE DISCUSSED ABOUT THE DECREE ON NATIONAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS FOR SPECIAL CONTRIBUTION TO SPORT DEVELOPMENT
Kustudić new Secretary General of the MOC
On the session of the MOC’s Executive Board, held yesterday, journalist from TV IN Đorđije Kustudić, was elected for new Secretary General of the MOC.
The Executive Board also discussed about the Decree on National Acknowledgements for special contribution to sport development and sport affirmation. It was concluded that this is an important document, with very good existing version, provided that particular solutions should be elaborated in order to be more precise. The MOC’s Commission in charge of this document will include necessary changes, and deliver it to the Ministry of culture, sport and media, not later that 15 days.
As a reminder, at the beginning of this year, a letter was sent to all sports federations and associations, where they were being asked to propose top athletes for receiving a life-time financial compensation, in case they have such athletes in the scope of they work who fulfill necessary condition. In the meantime, only Athletic Federation sent information that they don’t have any athletes of such profile on their list.
Also, Karate Federation of Montenegro advised that they have lots of top athletes.
Even though it is a non-olympic sport, the Executive Board of the MOC considered their request as legitimate, but they will have to ask the opinion from the International Olympic Committee, as well. On the yesterday’s session, there were also present representatives from the Karate Federation.
On the session of the Executive Board of the MOC were also discussed forthcoming preparations for participation of Montenegrin athletes on the Universiade in Bangkok and on the Olympic Games in Beijing.
The Executive Board has adopted the Financial plan for 2007. with estimated budget of 520.000 euros.
