YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES “SINGAPORE 2010”
Defeated by Singapore
Montenegrin pioneer football national team was defeated by Singapore selection by 3:2 in the last round of group qualification at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. Despite this defeat, Sava Kovačević's team managed to place in semi-finals playing against Bolivia.
Host of the Youth Olympic Games scored at the very beginning (3. min.) and our team evened five minutes later when the captain Kosović scored in 8. minute. In 22. minute, Kosović scored again from the penalty spot and our team lead by 2:1.
Singapore managed to even the score by the enf of the first halftime.
Five minutes before the end of the match, hosts managed to score again for the final 3:2.
At the semi-final of the Olympic tournament on 22nd August, opponent of our team will be Bolivia.
Montenegrin team line up: Kordić, Vico, Marković, Šarkić (Lalošević), Baošić, Kaluđerović (Čađenović), Jovanović, Nedović, Kosović, Krivokapić (Vušurović), Boljević.
Scorer of both goals for our team was Kosović.

Our other athletes at the first Youth Olympic Games achieved following results:
Katarina Đurđević, in swimming breaststroke 50m, placed 18th out of 25 swimmers, with time 35,21 sec. In swimming 100m of the same discipline, she was 13th out of 17 swimmers with time 1:18,21.
Tennis player Mia Radulović finished her competition at the Games after the first round. In single, she was defeated 2:0 (6:0, 6:2) from Zarah Razafimatratre from Madagascar, while in double with Denis Alertova from Czech Republic were defeated by couple Cristina DINU (Romania) and Ons JABER (Tunis) 2:1.
Vilson Lajčaj, competing in taekwando, in category uo to 73 kg, was defeated 10:1 by Aliaskhab Sirazhov from Russia, and at the final placement he was at the 5th place.
In individual sports, last from our athletes to compete will be Rijad Dedeić in judo, category up to 81 kg. His fights are sceduled for 22nd August.
