On 10th February, President of Montenegrin Olympic Committee, Dušan Simonović welcomed Ambassador of Hungary Zoltan Somogyi.
During their meeting, they spoke about possibilities for new Montenegrin sports associations to be supported by affirmed Hungarian sport associations. Special attention was paid to kayak and weight lifting.
In that sense, it was agreed that presidents of these sport associations from Hungary and president of Hungarian Olympic Committee should visit Montenegro in near future in order to agree upon more specific types of cooperation and assistance.
Through its Embassy in Podgorica, Hungary has already assisted in development of sports less familiar to us, such as Equestrian Sport Club Montenegro in Vranići near Podgorica.
Also, several well know and affirmed sport workers and athletes already reside in Montenegro, such as water polo players of Primorac, Adam Štajmec and Gergerly Kiss, and coach of handball club Budućnost T-Mobile from Podgorica, Gyula Zsiga.
