Adopted reports of Chef’s de Mission
Executive committee of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, on its session from 22. January, considered several important points from its scope of work.
EC of the MOC adopted report of its scholarship commission for 2009. And forwarded it to the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Media. On the MOC’s list are 50 young Montenegrin athletes. Executive Committee confirmed its decision to pay special attention to European champions – junior water polo national team, in frames of its program.
Executive committee has also reached an agreement with regards to its future offices, stressing that it is an organization that must have adequate working conditions in the future, in cooperation with capital city, line Ministry nd the International Olympic Committee.
Chefs de Mission of forthcoming competitions in next period – winter EYOF – European Youth Olympic Festival, to be held in February in Poland, Mediterranean Games, to be held at the end of June in Pescara, and winter Olympic Games in Vancouver 2010., submitted to members of the Executive Committee reports on current work on preparations of Montenegrin participants which were accepted by the EC. Commission was form, and its task is to make the llist of potential participants in Pescara 2009. by 24th March, since there are no qualifications for this important competition of Mediterranean countries.
Members of the Executive Board were informed that Montenegrin skier Bojan Kosić received scholarship from the IOC amounting 1.500 US dollars per month, as well as 5.000 US dollars for travel expenses, which will be very useful for our athlete for preparation for winter Olympic Games in Vancouver 2010.
Secretary General of Montenegrin Olympic Committee, Đorđije Kustudić, submitted irrevocable resignation to his position.
Kustudić explained his decision as personally motivated and expressed his wish for further professional challenges.
“In period of biggest sport challenges and not least expectations I invested my overall creative and working energy in direction of realization of Beijing 2008. Project and affirmation of Montenegrin sport, as well as in institutional strengthening of the MOC in our public and international associations”, said Kustudić in his resignation.
President of Montenegrin Olympic Committee Dušan Simonović, thanked Kustudić for current engagement, stressing that Kustudić has been in the MOC during its most beautiful and most requesting period of existence, expressing hope for further cooperation in some other form.
In individual sports, following athletes were proposed for scholarship: athletics – Marija Vuković, Jovana Kljajević, Danijel Furtula and Ljiljana Matović, tennis players Danka Kovinić, Vladica Babić and Ljubomir Čelebić, boxers Bojan Pešić, Marko Radonjić and Dragan Pešić, table tennis players Irfan Čekić, Iva Janković and Lazar Janković, judists Anđela Dedić, Nikola Vulević and Aleksandar Nikčević, skiers Bojan Kosić and Mladen Minić, two from teakwondo, Artan Zemunović and Suzana Radović, yachting Milivoj Dukić and Marko Radonjić, shooters Stefan Čađenović and Mirjana Radović, cyclist Mladen Bubanja, swimmers Milica Marković and Katarina Đurđević. On the list are also water polo players Slaven Kandić, Petar Vuksanović and Miljan Popović, volleyball players Dragan Peruničić, Jelena Cvijović, Tamara Kovačević, Božidar Ćuk and Balša Radunović, football players Risto Radunović, Slavko Đuričanin, Nikola Vučinić, Samel Kujević and Nemanja Gojačanin, handball players Marina Vukčević, Tamara Stojanović, Sanja Premović, Nebojša Simić, and Božo Anđelić, basketball players Mladen Novaković, Andrej Pajović, Nemanja Đurišić, Jakša Vulević and Armin Kalić.
